I've actually been pondering this same question since I saw that comic, and was about to blog about it myself, which is really just a rather ironic reaction. In a nutshell though, this is part of why I'm not really posting anything personal in my blog (especially after the Livejournal years of early college and all the recursive self-questioning and censored ruminations that went with it).

Yes it did. I got it the day I returned from York, and then I was a terrible person and didn't write an answer. (As a faint word in my defense, I did start writing an answer today and I plan to have something in the mail before the post office closes tomorrow evening.

Interesting! I've only read a handful of xkcds, but I actually came across that one before... by hitting 'random'. I feel the same way about cameras. I like having pictures, and that compels me to take them, but then beauty gets overwritten as a photo opportunity. I lost my camera more than a year ago and I think ... I think my love of loving beautiful things has kept me from replacing it.

Yeah, it's got a point. I guess any kind of record-keeping does that to you on some level, but it's strongest with blogs, I think, since they let you instantaneously tell people what you've done.
